Job Description:
Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs computer hardware and network related problems. Install new hardware, software upgrades and patches, network cabling as required.

Responsibilities:

• Install new equipment and software and upgrades as needed. Maintained, troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and software. Troubleshoots network problems, isolates problems, performs repairs, install and terminates cables for network connectivity. Test cables and other equipment as needed.
• Configures computers and peripheral hardware to established specifications. Makes adjustments to specifications as needed by users. Ensures appropriate network connectivity is available as needed. Installs and configures local and network printers. Connect users to the network.
• Performs regular preventive/corrective maintenance on each of the hardware units and auxiliary devices.
• Checks hardware before and after these are returned to the supplier and/or users for replacement, repair and maintenance.
• Formulates guidelines and orients users on proper handling of computer units.
• Supervise the work of the student OJT.
• Submit required reports.
• Performs other related duties assigned by his/her superior.

Requirements:

• Knowledge, Skills and Other Characteristics
• Knowledge of current information technology.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and methods, related to equipment.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Skill maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
• Skill assisting users with problem determination and resolution.
• Skill establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
• Skill in presenting ideas and concepts orally and in writing.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two (2) years computer repair and networking experience.
• A bachelor or associate degree in computer or information technology or related field of education.
